How we travel
Lighter on the land,
heavier on the local.
Travel that takes more than it gives is not travel — it's extraction. These are the four commitments we hold ourselves to on every journey we run.
01
Small by design
Most of our trips run with eight guests or fewer. Smaller groups land softer in fragile places, and let us work with the family-run lodges that wouldn't survive a coach tour.
02
Local hands, fair pay
Every guide, driver, and cook on a Gallivant journey is local to the region and paid a fair wage transparently disclosed in our cost breakdown. No commissions, no skimming.
03
Spend that stays
Roughly 78 paise of every rupee you pay us stays in the country you're travelling in. We publish our supply chain on request — ask, and we'll show you.
04
A lighter footprint
We offset 130% of the calculated carbon for every flight and vehicle on your itinerary through verified Gold Standard projects in India and Latin America.
Honest caveat
We don't claim to be a perfect company. The honest aim is to be a little better, every year — and to publish the numbers when we aren't.
