Atoll choice matters more than resort brand. We start there.

Seaplanes don't fly after dark — late arrivals stay at Male and transfer the next morning.

Alcohol is only available on resort islands and on the sea-plane lounges.

Local-island day trips need conservative dress (shoulders and knees covered).

We never recommend more than two resorts in one trip — the transfers eat the days.
