The Journey

Split your trip between an Ubud rice-valley retreat, a quiet cliffside in Uluwatu, and one night at a working temple festival — booked months ahead through a Brahmin family we've known for years.

  • Sidemen rice-valley walk at dawn
  • Private temple ceremony with a priest's family
  • Uluwatu sunset and the Kecak fire dance
  • Two nights on the quieter east coast

Things you might ask

And the honest answers.

When is the best time?

April–October is the dry season; July–August is peak. April and October are our favourite shoulder windows.

Is ten days too long?

We argue it's the minimum. Anything less and you're in transit between the two Balis.
